It was an amazing first session of the year last week - even though it was absolutely baltic!

We won't have that same issue tomorrow!

I really enjoy training thrugh the winter. I feel when you are out in the harsh weather each day, the dark nights don't seem so dark, and the rain never ever feels as bad as it looks. Winter always seems to pass quicker when I'm out training rather than looking at it through the window.

It makes it a little easier too when you're getting dragged along in a group. Now that I've got the first week of steady running out the way to blow away the festive cobwebs, I'm ready to get some zip back in the legs with some speed work. If you're the same, this session will sorty you right out.

3 x 4 mins at 10K effort, then 4 x 1 min faster, before the last minute at the same pace as your first 3 efforts. The middle minutes faster really help mid race when you need to make a push to drop a runner from shielding behind you, or you need to make a surge to catch the group in front.

Hope to see you there!
