A week off running. That's what I've had. I always bang on about consistency...but sometimes after a race a week can be useful.


What you don't want to do, and what I can be very guilty of - is turning a week off into 2 weeks, 3 weeks, 6 weeks. And then you're into a different problem.


Recovery is as important as being consistent. But make sure it is recovery and you don't just lean into old habits....


Here is this weeks session that I'm going to partake in to make sure I don't turn one week into six. I like having accountability.
