Today in Valencia Alex Yee ran his second marathon in what is the second fastest time by a British male, ever.
Second only to a household name (who has blocked me on twitter) who doesn't have a ring door bell - or any doorbell that works.
I'm sure Alex Yee's results will stand the test of time though.
Even though not so long ago running wasn't even his main sport a year ago, he has done what Gary Koch might describe as "better than most".
I doubt he will be down at Run Rhaw tomorrow - but one day, many years ago, Alex Yee turned up (somewhere) for his first ever running session. And he stuck at it.
You might never have ambitions of winning a marathon major. You might be hoping to one day complete a 10K, or a marathon.
But turning up for your first session, or turning up week on week, will make sure you are "better than most".
