It's a bank holiday - but I don't work in a bank so Run Rhaw is on as always tomorrow!

Yes, I have the same jokes that I use all the time.

It's the same with training - it doesn't always have to be exciting.

Consistency, specificity, and progressive training are the things that will lead you to a PB. If you've run a race of late and relied on guessing your training paces and not quite got the time you thought you were on for - it's worth looking back at your training to see if you've hit the three points above.

While none of them can be particularly exciting - this is what works to improve. There are no magic workouts that will make you massively better. Focus on the basics.

In the next couple of weeks I will have race plans available for download on my website - if you're not read for full coaching - this could be an option for you to take some of the guess work out of your training.

Here is this weeks session - run the longer efforts at 10K pace, and the shorter ones slightly quicker. If this is too hard - then the pace you're running is not your 10K pace and you should adjust accordingly if you're running Helensburgh.

If you're ready to reach your next finish line quicker you can reach me here, or just reply to this email.

See you tomorrow!
