Some weeks are good, some weeks aren't so good.

I went out to do my long run Friday - 36 miles with some decent work in it.

Chucked it after 22 mile, gubbed.

Underfuelled, overcooked from double run days and trying to do it Friday rather than Saturday.

It didn't ruin my week though. 1 missed run, or one not going to plan, doesn't make the week ruined.

Think of it this way - if you had one amazing run where you totally burst your pace - you're not suddenly going to go into your next race thinking you can chop half an hour off your marathon time. The same works with a bad run - you're not going to lose any minutes.

In some ways it'll probably do you good. Most people are under recovering.

And if you're suitable recovered - hope to see you tomorrow for this one;
