I'm currently away on holiday. And while i'm sitting and writing this email, I'm sitting TAPS AFF with a beer in hand. It's a great site, believe me,

And while this isn't a "I'm on holiday n you're no" email - I think it's good for people to know I'm not always full tilt at the training.

I like to take some downtime, I like to spend some time not running.

But I still like to keep ticking over while away. Plus it's a good way to see some different places I wouldn't normally see when away.

But mostly - I love to run. And I love to sit down and think about other peoples running. I love writing sessions. I love thinking about them and how to make them better.

So before I open another beer - I guess my point is this. You need to make running fun. There is no point in following a training plan that doesn't involve anything you like.

If you're a road runner and you still want to keep some trails in for fun - then do that.

If you want to do mountain races but still feel a different type of burn - head to the track and do 400m reps.

Do whatever it is to make you still love the sport you started. And if you're currently not in love with it, try and mix it up a bit, have some fun, and remember why you started.

If you'd like some help with that you can click here

And you can see tomorrow's Run Rhaw here;

And if you're like many others who read this email but aren't part of the community yet - you can head to the Run Rhaw park tomorrow at half 5 and join in, or follow me @runrhaw wherever you do your socials.

Whatever your level, whatever the clouds.
