18th March 2024

It's a big week ahead for Run Rhaw, with a good number of us taking on the Sri Chinmoy races at Perth. If you're interesting in following along on the day, you can find the live results at this link - https://my.raceresult.com/281737 which will be live from 0700 hours next Sunday. There are two races - the 100K, and the 50K (kids race).

Also - if you're planning on heading to Argyle on the 25th March, there will be some stiff legs that will add a bit of comedy.

Races are often a good reward of your training. But it's not always that way.

Sometimes the races go for you, sometimes they don't.

Racing can be a thin line - do you throw caution to the wind and go for it and risk blowing up? Or do you play the smarter game and play more conservative and have more to play with in the second half? I know what I'm doing.

This time next week there will be some people who are absolutely delighted, and there will be some who are a bit disappointed.

And that's okay.

Running has broken my heart more times than anything else. And that's why we love it.

Here's this weeks session;

4 x 1-1-1 then recover.

This isn't a 4 x 3 min session - you need to work through the gears here. So 1 minute around 10K effort, 1 min at 5K effort, 1 min quicker than 5K effort, and then recover.

Hope to see you there.
